Full agenda announced for gasworld MENA Industrial Gas Conference 2015



Publishing and events company for the industrial gases industry, gasworld, have announced the full agenda for their Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Industrial Gas Conference, taking place in Dubai from 7th - 9th December 2015.

The event titled ‘Today’s Vision, Tomorrow’s Reality’ will give delegates the opportunity to hear updates on the economic prospects within the region, an update on safety measures, as well as the supply chain and the merchant gases market in the MENA region.

A promising programme of speakers will inform and enlighten attendees on a variety of hot topics specially picked by a steering group of local experts. Kick-starting the event is the much loved welcome reception on Monday 7th December, sponsored by gold sponsor The Middle East Gases Association (MEGA).

Conference Day 1
The two-day conference proceedings commence on Tuesday 8th December. Day one will focus on the MENA industrial gases business. After an official opening and welcome from gasworld CEO and Founder John Raquet, special keynote speaker Tom Blades – Member of the Executive Board at The Linde Group – will take to the stage. Blades will be discussing homecare markets within the Middle East, and the developments expected for the future.

Following this, Richard Boocock, President of Middle East, Turkey, India and Egypt for Air Products will be looking at the opportunity within the Middle East, showcasing the areas for development. In addition, there will also be a detailed look at the Middle East chemicals market and its current status by Nexant’s Senior Vice-President, Dr. Andrew Spiers.

gasworld’s CEO and Founder John Raquet will also be providing an insight into the MENA merchant gases markets and growth potential for the future. Delegates will then be treated to a networking lunch hosted by gold sponsor Global Gas Services, as well as a valuable exhibition time in the dedicated promotional booth space housing 40 contact booths.

In addition, delegates will also be treated to an afternoon of safety related presentations specially organised by gold sponsor MEGA. The session will address safety standards within the region and how these can be raised together. Presenters during this session include Elie Adaimy from Air Liquide, Natarajan Suresh from Gulf Cryo, and Mike Bee from Buzwair Gases. gasworld is also delighted to welcome back to Dubai Paul Vincent, Industrial Director at Air Liquide.

Day one concludes with a special VIP Conference Dinner sponsored by platinum sponsor Buzwair Gases, allowing attendees to network and enjoy delicious entertainment - and wrap up the day’s proceedings in style.

Conference Day 2

Day two of the conference will explore the growth drivers for merchant markets in the region. gasworld welcomes Omar Germouni, Middle East Business Director at Air Liquide, who will be speaking on bringing innovation to developing economies, Dr. Fatemeh Didehvar of Mack Valves, who will be discussing the Iranian industrial gas opportunity. Jan Vansant, Independent Consultant at Cold Jet, will also be speaking in-depth on merchant CO2 applications, and Marcus Creaven, Managing Director of AGC Instruments will be discussing quality control of industrial and specialty gases.

The afternoon will see a special collection of commercial sessions exploring hot topics and developments in applications and operations. Companies presenting include VRV, Herose, Cryostar, IGPH Group, INOXCVA and Hale Hamilton. Day two’s Conference Lunch will be hosted by silver sponsor Dohmeyer.
